    Playready not updating

Ok I have searched high and low, and all over the internet, but found no solution to this nightmare. I changed my tuner card, and now playready won't update. When I run the tv set up in MC, I get playready was incomplete. You will not be able to watch or record protected content until the update is successful. I even manually updated playready, no joy.

Did you install new driver for the new Tuner? was it a win 7 driver? if not it may need to be installed in compatibility mode

Well initially when I put the card in, Win7 installed its own drivers, and it was successful. When the playready error occurred, I went to the manufacturer's website and got their drivers, still no joy. I finally gave up, put my old card backing, and rolled back my system. Off topic a bit, I installed the Wintv app, and it worked fine, but i did not like having to get out of mce to launch media browser.

    PlayReady will not update...

I also am having very similar issues. PlayReady will not update. I've uninstalled and reinstalled ReadyPlay Update v 1.3 in x86 and AMD64, both without success. None of the channels above 33 display, just a blue screen. All of these chanels display on the Comcast cable box provided by the cable service provider. Please provide a fix. I am using a Ceton InfiniTV 4 on Win 7 Ultimate 64 Bit.

I found a solution for this problem just an hour ago, and whacked this bug on my system.

Go to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\PlayReady and delete the mspr.hds file you will find inside the folder.

    Update PlayReady then, problem solved.

(do this before you fire up Media Center because the Media Center Receiver service, if started, will not let you delete the file).
