Windows 7: Sold Office 2007 on Ebay and need some advice!

I have sold my copy of MS Office Home and Student 2007 which has 3 user licences on ebay.

I think I may have a problem though because although I have removed the software from my PC my brother has used one of the licences on his laptop.

If the people try to install the software on 3 pc's will they be able to install 3 licences and my brothers installation will just stop working or will the people who have bought it not be able to use all 3 licences until my brother has removed it from his PC.

I should also add that my brother is currently on holiday and as such doesn't use his laptop, so the people who have purchased the software will be able to use all 3 copys. Will my brother not be able to use his copy when he gets back?

Do not worry about the technicalities. It will install in 3, 4, 5, whatever. However, someone is now violating the EULA. I don't think you will go to jail for that, but it is not quite legal. You could cure it by uninstalling the copy from your brother's system. If zero copies are in use, than 3 copies are legally free to be installed.

So although it has a 3 user licence you can actually get away with installing more than 3 all though it's not legal?

Technically there's nothing stopping you, technically. Legally and officially speaking however, you can't do that.

Eventually Office Genuine Advantage, (OGA), will see the last install as illegal and should then disable most of the functionality, basically setting the suite into the state of an expired trial

Or it may never be caught and all will be well in software and licensing land good luck. I just had an issue like that same key on 2 systems and its been 1 year and 6 months never had any problems. Not right but it happens all the time.
