Gmail Imap Outlook2010 SLOW

I have a problem with Gmail IMap. I get all my emails and everything correctly. The only problem is that It takes FOREVER to open any email. Doesn't matter if there is an attachment or not. It literally takes 30 seconds to see it in the reading pane. Sometimes Outlook 2010 does the Not Responding. Anyone else have this problem?

I never got my IMAP to work efficiently either with gmail. Went back to POP3 mail. all is well

hoganth. I acutally ended up deleting my main .PST file and just redid all my settings. Luckily I have all my contacts backed up on google so I just exported them from there, then imported them into Outlook2010. My calendar I just synced using Google calendar sync. Everything is up and going just fine.

One piece of advice with gmail IMAP and outlook is to not subscribe to the All Mail label/folder - all the entries here should be in other folders/labels, and this can grow to huge sizes
