Office uninstall partial, tool to clean up?

    Hi -

I had activated the ms office 2010 starter edition on the new pc.

    I decided to uninstall.

    Cleanly uninstalled MS office 2010.

Next began uninstalling MS office click to start 2010, but due to something (I think I ran into problems iwth my firewall)... the uninstall seemed to go full, but it never actually ended, and would not end, so I had to force a cancel when I shut down.

When I rebooted - MS Office click to start 2010, is still listed in programs and it won't uninstall.

Is there a tool to clean this up?

Should I go back to the recovery restore point after the first clean uninstall, and before the second bad one, and try again? <-- that restores system files, but if only remnants still exist in programs... the uninstall still may not work.

I need to get this cleanly out - in order to install MS Office 2007.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hello and Welcome !

Check this Microsoft article How do I uninstall Office 2003, Office 2007 or Office 2010 suites if I cannot uninstall it from Control Panel?

    Hope this helps,

Thank you, I had acutally looked at this KB article, but I was hesitant to use the fixit solution because,

the article did not explicitly mention windows 7.

Can I assume the vista fixit solution is valid?

    and

the article did not list office cick-and-run 2010, in the list of programs, only

    • Microsoft Office Home and Student 2010
    • Microsoft Office Home and Business 2010

I guess I can try it and see what happens. Always a great thrill to use ms critical products.
