De-activating copy of Office 2007 to enable installation on another PC

    Hi folks,

I've looked through the MS information on removing Office 2007 but it doesn't mention de-activating. Is this doen auotmatically, or do I have to do something else? Just to clarify, I am uninstalling the application on thisPC and I'm already at my activation limit of 3 PC's on Office Home and Student.

(Adobe products enable this to be done via Help - Deactivation and I wondered if there was anything similar).

    Regards

Many thanks for that. I knew I might have to do it by phone; where doI find the the two ID's and serial number of the computer(s) that they ask for? I do have the original Product Key.

    Regards

    John,

When you click the activate it shows the info. I believe it's actually referring to the installation ID of MS office. If it is something else they will tell you where to find it. If they ask for something you cant find, post back and we will find an answer for you.

Also when you uninstall it from the old machine, and then install to the new computer it might activate automatically online without the phone option.
