    Can't install...(URGENT)

(This was originally posted on a different forum, but I'm not getting any answers there)
Recently I was trying to install the trial to Microsoft Office 2010 so that I could work on a school project (that's due TOMORROW), but I ran into a problem. After downloading the exe file to install it, I ran it, put in the given serial code, then let it install. Everything was going alright for the first few seconds, until it told me that it ran into error 1303. It's telling me about how it can't open C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Equation\1033, and that I should verify if it exists and make sure I have permission to edit it. Now, it does exist, but I can't open it. I decided to run the installation file for Microsoft Office 2010 as Administrator (because I forgot to in the first place), but it still didn't work. I then tried setting the permission on the folder to everyone, but it told me that I couldn't change the owner and that again my access was denied. (Yes, I had duplicate versions, but read on)

Whenever I click "OK" after changing the owner for the file, it tells me that it's "Unable to set new owner on 1033", because my access is denied.

When I uninstalled Microsoft Office 2003 and tried to reinstall Microsoft Office 2010, it still wouldn't let me get past that folder. In fact, I can't even reinstall Microsoft Office 2003 due to this issue.

There are so many things it could be. have you googled the error?\

Have you tried to download it again?

Can you make changes in safe mode (F8)?

I have googled it, but it tells me to reinstall it and set the owner (which I can't do). I haven't tried to download it again, because I need it done soon and with my internet it'd take a good hour or so (it did the first time with absolutely nothing else internet related on). I haven't tried to change it in safe mode, though. I'll go try that now.

Recently I tried to enter safe mode when I had to restart with updates, but I'm not sure if it was or not; I mean, it didn't look much different or anything, and it looked basically the same when I had to restart again normally for a problem I was having that I posted in another thread (already solved, luckily). I tried changing the properties, and for some reason it randomly decided to work for me. Due to that, I was able to reinstall Microsoft Office 2003 successfully in a matter of minutes. Not quite sure what happened, but I'm glad it's over now. Thanks for helping, zigzag3143. I'll be marking it as solved soon.

Also, the thread was urgent because I was attempting to work on a school project, which at the time of the post was due the next day. Luckily, I worked and finished it with the help of Open Office.
