Follow the link below and go through each step. As Mark said, they might be willing to pull some strings for you, but don't count on it. In the mean time you can download a free trial of office (link also below).

Followed the link, reported the issue and got a thank you. It's ok though. I got a new copy of Office 97 student version. It's all we need and we don't use Outlook.
Thanks for all of your help everyone,
John

If you paid for your version of Office 2010, you should have either a folder with the key to activate or a disk with the key on it. If so then I would go to microsoft.com and search on activation and then give them a call to let them decide whether what you have is illegal or legal and they will activate it over the phone if
it is an activation error.
Some PC people have been installing the trial version along with a illegal key. Not good.

Hi everybody
I have same problem, when I run Office 2010 professional Plus it gives me a message of (Deactivated Version) but all what I'm doing is to close this message window and continue my work on Office as usual. I don't have an explanation but i'm enjoying with my Office 2010 regarding what paid for it.

And that enjoyment will END in the next 30 days when your copy shuts down!

A "deactivated version" of Pro Plus is most likely one of the many pirated versions floating around the web these days.

As with the OP, if you bought this, go back to where you bought it and demand a legitimate copy!
