PowerPoint 2007 not storing recently opened files

I have several files to open in a single day but PowerPoint 2007 isnt storing recently opened documents, it used to do before just noticed the problem today morning and now its almost night (according to my time zone), it was a hard time locating my presentations all over my hard discs.

One more thing I also use CCleaner, Tune-up Utilities, Auslogics Boost Speed, Ashampoo 7 to clean up junk, is it has to do anything with recently opened documents cause i dont check the option to clean office 2007 opened files in CCleaner.

Pls help.

  1. Click the Microsoft Office Button, and then click PowerPoint Options.
  2. Click Advanced.
  3. Under Display, in the Show this number of Recent Documents list, click the number of files that you want to display. If you do not want to display any files, click 0.

It also states "The command is currently disabled. Your administrator has disabled this command through group policy." This appears when i keep my mouse over '(i)' like button inside a circle after the option.

Perhaps you could speak to the Administrator of your system and ask to have the policy lifted for you.

It says Diagnostics was disabled by your system administrator. What to do. I never remembered doing anything with Office nor tried tweaking anything.

I presume that you have PC protection - are the definitions up to date?

A good (free version) one to try is Malwarebytes Anti-Malware - Reviews and free Malwarebytes Anti-Malware downloads at Download.com

Alternatively, an effective on-line one is Trend Micro HouseCall - Free Online Virus and Spyware Scan - Trend Micro UK .

Also, check that you have Administrator rights - Control Panel, User Accounts.
