    Path to Desktop

I am using windows 7 and Excel. I have a spreadsheet on the Desktop that I want
to use. I am using VLookup in Excel to access the ss. Here is the path I am trying to
use. =VLookup(A2,'C:\users\max parris\Desktop\[Name.xlsm]Sheet1'!$A$2:$I$700,9,0) When I hit ENTER the following comes up.
C:Liberaries/Documents/. That is all that comes up. The spreadsheet does not open.
How do I set the path from the spreadsheet to the Desktop so that the VLookup can retreive the data. Thanks
    Max

What happens when you click on it?

Rightclick Properties>Open With look for Excel or Change>browse to MS Office>in edition folder (2010, etc) there will be an Excel.exe to add, select "always open this type of file with this program" and Save.
