    2007 Outlook won't open properly

Outlook 2007 opens then flashes this on my screen:2007 Outlook won't open properly-07-outlook-issue.pngI have OS and all Apps. on SSD drive and all data on spinner. I've used repair tool on pst.file on spinner but Outlook still shows this error message. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Outlook pst folder is on my spinner and it seems as if Outlook wants me to repair the link to my pst file to my SSD which it has never been. I wonder if I can just uninstall Outlook and then reinstall?

If you wish to create a new outlook.pst, then yes.... but you'll lose any emails sync'd to that .pst.

Through program files \ microsoft office \ outlook \ You'll find a scanpst.exe file... run that against your pst and it will fix it... If not, try opening the run line and running outlook.exe /safe

    brady,
Thank you for your's and Boobahs reply's. I have used the repair tool on the pst file on my spinner and then tried opening Outlook only to get the same error message. I will try the Outlook safe tip and report back!

    Hello,

Go to Control Panel > Mail > E-Mail Account > Then go to Data Tab > Select New Data File and Save it. Then Select that new Data File and Click on Set as Default. Make sure Outlook is closed when you do so.

    Hope this helps,
    Captain

Ok so good news is Outlook opened and loaded all my emails, but no addresses or folders. I think I can work around this somehow. Is there a way to merge the new default file with the other non-default which has all the contact and folder info?
