Migrating pop3 to imap with new domain
We are migrating to a new domain with email being handled by Google, I've set up the new accounts as IMAP using Outlook 2010 as the desktop client. Our old domain used only pop3 accounts. I'm wondering if there are any tips on the best method of making the transition. I want to move all new mail from the pop3 accounts with the old domain addresses to the new domain IMAP folders. I've changed the default account as the new IMAP, and also changed the rules for the pop3 to move some of the incoming messages from the pop3 to the new IMAP (which didn't work). I'm manually moving new mail to the IMAP accounts, but the move of each message is very slow, I'm assuming because of the difference in pop3 and IMAP or different domains. Any suggestions would be appreciated. We are migrating over several months.
