Install office 2003 & 2007 on the same machine

dear all:
i would like to ask if there is any possibility to control which office application to be the default one to open word and other documents if there are office 2003 & 2007 installed on the same machine since i tried to let office 2003 to be the default one to open all office documents

There are ways but it will be very very difficult since Office will write over the old version.

The easiest way to do it is use Windows XP mode or a Virtual Window and install it there. You have to keep the installations separate from one another.

Are you just trying to keep 2003 and learn 2007?

However, its not recommended because of problems like very slow switching betwen the 2 versions. But why exactly do you want 2 versions installed?

Wow, i did not know that...
I never knew anyone who would want an earlier version and the later version of the same thing on the same computer.

for the last reply i want to tell you that i need both of them cause we have ICDL exams and most of students are taking exams with office 2003 and the rest 2007 so i want the same machine to be used for both students

In many cases, I want to run my older version of office a wait a while for the upgrade to the next version. My times the newer version comes installed as trial version and the system always defaults to trying to run it.
