Outlook 2010 Time Zone Permanent Move Tool does not work

I moved from London to Hong Kong a few months ago, and I am going to stay in Hong Kong for may be another year. My problem with the outlook is that all the entries I entered are all according to the London time, and I came across the permanent time zone move tool. I downloaded and installed it, but when I tried it, no old entries in London time was changed to Hong Kong time.

I tried to open a new entry in Hong Kong time (as my computer now is in Hong Kong time), and used the tool to change it to london time, it did work. Then I changed my computer time to London time, and opened a new entry in London time, and used the tool to successfully change it to Hong Kong time. THE PROBLEM IS, NO OLD ENTRIES ARE CHANGED OR IDENTIFIED BY THE TOOL. May be it is because I imported those old entries from the apple's iphone?

Also, sometimes it shows a message box of "The operation failed" when I starts the tool, I am going to take the installation CD over the weekend to repair the outlook and to see will it help solve the situation.

It has been causing a lot of problems for my daily life for the past few months because the calender date and time are not accurate and I can't believe in it. Help is much needed and I appreciate every reply and every effort to help improving the situation!

Unfortunately, this is not something about which I have any personal experience.

However, I did find the following MS article which covers the application and its' use: How to address time zone changes by using the Time Zone Data Update Tool for Microsoft Office Outlook - Scroll down to the entries about Office 2010.

Perhaps there will be something in there which might help. :)

    Good luck!

Thanks a lot for your reply Irene!

I read this article and downloaded the tools again. I installed 64 bit Office Professional Plus in my laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit Operatiing System, but the 64 bit outlook time zone permanet move tools did not work ( it failed to open and showed the message "operation failed"). I downloaded the 32 bit outlook time zone permanent move tools and it successfully launched, but when I tried to move items from London to Hong Kong, it did nothing but said "No appointments, meetings or reminders were found that need to be moved to the new time zone."

I am going to re-install the office professional plus (genius version I brought from my university), and to see will the problem be solved. Further help is greatly appreciated!
