    Dafault New Document Word 2007

I want to change the default margins in normal.dotm but can't find any help for Word 2007 running in Windows 7.

As I recall, it is essential to work on normal.dotm so I need to know how to open it to change it.

I should add, it is not the same as either XP or Vista.

    Can anyone help, please?

    TIA for any input.

    Ed

    Excellent detailed explanation here:

Hey, my friends. Surely my question was not that vague! :) I have no trouble changing margins...

I want to change the margins in normal.dotm in Word 2007 running in Windows 7. That is the page that opens every time you launch Word.

    Ok, now I understand - I think!
I now recall having the same problem some time ago...

If you right-click the tile called "Normal" in the Styles tab, then modify to whatever you prefer and save it. :)

Is this what you mean. Make sure you set it as default.

whs - Yes, sir. Exactly what I mean. I have to admit being a bit embarrassed after seeing how simple it is...!! Thanks a million.

Thanks, Irene, but your suggestion was not quite what I was looking for.
