Trying to do "OCR" with MS Office 2010. Went to control panel, Programs & Features, selected MS Office Professional Plus 2010, then selected change, scrolled down to Office tools and on the last line is "Optical Character Recognition". Further selected "Run from my computer". The operation processed and seemed to indicate that I could now OCR. The question is HOW? It does not appear in any Word menu that I can see or am I overlooking the obvoius? Do not want to do a 3rd party. (I have been able to do OCR thru OneNote but want it for Word/Excel/PowerPoint etc.):geek: Tx

Thanks for the comment, however I do not have that option. Nothing about imaging or OCR is present under Microsoft Office Tools.

Update;
Well after reading many articles on the internet, looks like MS did not include the option in the 2010 version. It was in 2007 but no longer. Makes me wonder why then the "OCR" option is listed under change/MS Tools??:confused:
