    Office 2010 A Mess


    This is terribly embarrassing, but I tried a system restore to fix my problem (with a thought that it would actually work due to what may have been messed up, not just blindly thinking a restore will fix everything)
    But I don't know how to delete this thread, now that it is no longer needed.

    In case you read this, in future select "Edit" under your post. You'll then see a "Delete" option.
    Be aware that "Edit" will no longer be available to you when your post is several hours old.

Has anyone posted the cause of MS Office crashes involving KERNELBASE.dll? I can reproduce the problem reliably but have no fix for it. MS Office 2010 apps, on Wix 7 Ultimate x64. APPCRASH on opening docs. Here is details of PowerPoint 2010 crashing (reproducibly) upon opening specific docs....

It seems that there may be a problem in Office 2010. I just installed it to the standard MS default/recommended settings .........all looked good...used Word great..until I use Excel and each time I try to use excel it sets off an 'Office Configuration' screen which I can not stop..it take a few...
