I am moving an image of an installation with Office 2003 S/T, it starts up on the new computer wanting me to activate, when I insert the Product Key it says it has exceeded the amount of activations allowed.

I plan to delete the previous installation, before that it was on another computer which is already deleted. Is there a way to reset the number of activations so it correctly knows it is on only one computer?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to reset that.

The solution is phone activation.

Microsoft Customer Service representative will have to help you activate your code over the phone despite the number of previous activations unless you tell them that you obtained software or code illegally. If you do not want to deal with a person, a robot-operated activation service is available at night.

So far I can only get the robocall which has me read a series of numbers and then says it cannot be activated. Don't see any option for in-person activation.

I have verified the Product Key several times.

Greg, Student teacher editions are good for install on upto 3 computers.

gregrocker, I had the same experience with robot, but as I remember correctly when I did not enter anything, system assumed that I do not have touch tone and I was finally transferred to a rep.

As an alternative I would try to call Windows Activation or other MS activation and ask for transferring me a correct rep.
