    outlook 2007 question

i have a user when she attaches a file from her desktop to outlook, it takes about 5 mins to attach, but when she clicks and drag or copy and pastes to out look, it takes no time at all...i'm not sure what's going on here. any suggestions will be very helpful...just in case, made sure the files she's attaching aren't shortcuts.

Try loading Outlook in Safe Mode:
To do that just press and hold the CTRL key on your keyboard while you click the icon to start Outlook.

Now see if the problem still occurs. If the problem doesn't appear when you're running in Safe Mode then it's probably a misbehaving add-in that's causing the issue. Go to Tools | Trust Center | Add-ins and see if there's anything there you can disable.

You could try using a different method to attach the files.

    Microsoft Tip:
When composing a message, you can also attach files by using the commands on the Insert tab in the Include group, or drag files from folders on your computer and drop them on the message window.
