    Microsoft Word 2010 Issue!

Why is it that whenever I try to make a word "bold" the whole document goes bold too? Or when I center something? This happens EVERY single time. I hate it! AND, it's hard to fix. It will only go back to normal if I go 'undo' but that's annoying. Please help. Also, I'd like to add that it happens even if I select the word first.

The problem happens in every font. I think it has to do with my preferences or something because when I want to create bullets...it bullets every single line of the document. Any other suggestions?

Previous and after, I can fix it by using 'undo' but I have to do this every time I centre a title, bold a word, or even make bullets. It is very annoying.

    Check Mouse

Well first eliminate the mouse. Slow the click speed down. and adust it other wise to see if you can make a difference. You might even try selecting text via the key board.

Have you looked at ALL of the Normal Template settings in your Styles section? Some or all of your problems may be corrected by resetting those options. And when finished, don't forget to check the "New documents based on this template" box.

You might also want to revisit your Word Options settings. There's a lot to look through, but you may find that one or more settings have changed there too. And when finished, don't forget to scroll all the way down to the bottom to Compatibility option for: and select "All new documents."

I don't like nor use the "normal" style. I use "No Spacing" because I type a lot of essays and my teachers like it like that. I'll try and I'll report back to you.

It worked, thanks! Now I don't have to deal with that annoying problem I had ....it was under Options and paragraph. I forgot what part exactly though
