cannot extract music file from a powerpoint presentation

When I was using Vista and MS Home and Student 2007, I was able to extract music file from any pps ( provided it was not password protected ) by .....
right click existing pps > New > Office button > save as > at save as type, select web page (*html) > save.

Now I am using Win 7 Home Premium and the same MS Home and Student 2007.
My problem : there is no " web page (*html ) " save as type option, just Web Page.

So, how do I extract music file from a pps ?

Thank you.

This looks like the procedure you are looking for:
Extract files or objects from a PowerPoint 2010 file - PowerPoint - Office.com

Please take note of the Tip before you begin:
Quote:
You can later change the file extension back and restore the presentation, but we recommend that you copy the presentation first and extract the objects that you want from the copy. This ensures your original presentation is preserved.

No, it does not work, probably because.....
The tutorial is for Powerpoint 2010. Mine is 2007.
My presentation is already save as 97-2003 show type. It is not a pptx.

When I unzipped the zip-file, it looked like this......

There isn't a folder which has the music file.
Futrthermore, when I tried to open one of those folders, anyone, it asked me what program to open with.
For example, PowerPointDoc folder..... I chose Word to open it. It opened with gibberish.

Oops! sorry about that.

Try this one instead:
extracting audio from 2007 powerpoint presentation - Microsoft Answers
Quote:
1. Launch PowerPoint.
2. Click on the Office button | Open and select the presentation.
3. Once open, select Office button | Save As | Choose Web Page (*.htm, *.html) from the Save as Type drop down and clickSave.
4. Close the presentation.
5. Open Windows Explorer and navigate to the folder containing the html file you just saved.
6. Navigate to the sub folder <presentationname>_files within it. You should see the audio files (*.wav) in that folder.

But now, with this Win 7 and the same Powerpoint Home and Student 2007.......
under Save As Type option, there is no more Web Page (*.htm, .html ) to choose from.

Found a software which can extract both images and sound files from powerpoint.

PowerPointImageExtractor 1.2
PowerPointImageExtractor - Download

I have tested it. It works.

It is a freeware.
