I recently found I could not rename an MS Word file selected in Windows Explorer while the Preview Pane was "on". Apparently, Windows opens a Winword process to display the file and Windows considers the file "open". With Preview Pane "off", the Winword process quits and the file can then be renamed.
Is this a "feature" of Windows or a bug that Microsoft can / should fix?
