    Outlook Auto Reply

Hi guys could someone please tell me how to set up an automated reply to any emails from a specific email address. I am sure this must be easy but for the life of me I cannot get it to work ! I'm using Outlook 2010.

I have set up a distribution group on our server called wages with an email address named wages@blahblahblah.co.uk.

What I need is to have Outlook send an auotmated response to any emails recieved by this email address saying for example 'thanks we got your email and it will be dealt with'

I have tried setting up various rules to reply with the template I created but none of them seem to work.

Could someone point me in the right direct please

    Many thanks

    Hi,

The Rules should definately allow you to use automatic replies. Can you post some screenshots or type out an example of the rule so we can see what it looks like?

    Regards,

Thanks for the repllies - sorry for not responding before but been away

for clarification I do know how to set up out of office assistant - what I need is something like auto response to any emails that come into the box.

Out of office would do this in a way but will only reply once to an email address. If a person happened to send 3 or 4 etc emails in one day they would only get 1 reply - to the first email.

I need this 'auto response' set up to let them know that each email they send has been recieved and will be dealt with.

    Hope that makes sense !

    Outlook 2007

I am using outlook 2007 and am looking to create an auto-response that needs to be customized on a daily basis. I do not want to constantly have to update the form and would like a prompt more than the simple red for flagged emails. I know my request is a little extreme but any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!
