Software/System Informaiton
I have Microsoft Office 2010 (64-bit - with SP1 installed) running on Windows 7 Professional (64-bit - with SP1 & all the latest MS updates).
Background:
Since Microsoft has bascially abandoned current Windows Mobile 6.5 users by not having a version of Windows Mobile Device Center that is compatible with Outlook 2010 64-bit (i know about the 'workaround' but that''s not a TRUE solution to the problem) - I have to manually get my contacts from Outlook to my phone by way of .vcfs
When I save a contact as a .vcf - the birthday details are off by one day (meaning Contact A has a birthday of 03/20/1961 in Outlook - but when saving as a .vcf - the contact has a birthday of 03/19/1961. I would open up the .vcf contact card - verify the informaiton - make the change to the birthday. I would then be prompted to update the contact details in Outook (which I did), open the contact in Outlook and then re-save the updated contact as a .vcf AGAIN in order for both contact (in Outlook and the .vcf) details to 'sync'.
Is there a way of fixing this problem? I have made sure that the timezone for the Calendar is matched to my current timezone in the system (which is EST). I have also performed a scanpst on the main .pst which my Outlook uses and that still did not fix the problem. I haven't performed a repair install of Office yet as I'm not sure that would totally resolve the issue.
Is there a registry entry that I need to change or a file that I need to re-copy in order for Outlook to properly save the information for a contact regardless of the file format?
BTW - here's the kicker - I have exported my contacts to a separate .pst file and have opened that .pst file on a machine running Windows XP & Microsoft Office 2007. When I open the contacts.pst file in Outlook 2007 & save the contact as a .vcf - the birthday details do not change!
Thank you very much for the help and tips to assist in resolving this matter!
