Office XP-Asian Languages showing?

Hello,

Firstly, as you can see I am a noob and would like to take this opportunity to say Hi to you all.

I have just taken possession of a new notebook OS Windows Home 7 64 bit I have just installed Office XP and although it seems to be working fine except when I open a document margin marks or crop marks (these are NOT text boundary marks) appear on each corner of the page which is really annoying. I have researched this and see that it is a problem which occurs only if you have one of the following Asian languages turned on in Microsoft Office Language Settings. It says to remove all the Asian languages from the Enabled languages list but I have none enabled only English UK so am very confused. I also see that in tools option in word tabs for Japanese Find tab, Asian Typography, Asian Layout are showing. I have also read that this is also something to do with Windows 7 languages so maybe when I install Office XP it picks up on this.
I would like to disable these Asian languages but cannot see how to do this. Can anybody help?

Thanks

Hello Ziani and welcome to SevenForums.

This is just a guess so it may not help (sorry.) Have you looked in the Windows Features dialog box to see if there are any language packs listed that can be turned off?

Turn Windows features on or off

Another possibility is to try running Office XP in Compatibility Mode. Again, probably won't help but who knows.

woop woop...all sorted

When looking into this it kept saying remove enabled languages but I could not see any other languages enabled except English when looking within the program. Did not realise that I had to go to start menu> microsoft tools>microsoft office xp language settings then remove the culprit languages.
