    Office 2010 Professional Plus Updates

    Help!!!

I have now spent what seems to have been Months trying to get these updates that I keep being told about to install. I have trawled the Web, looked at all the fixes and checked registry entries, nothing works.

To be honest I am at a complete loss, everything else I have updates, but this 2010...no chance.

I am UK based and the software was purchased for my daughter while she was at Uni from Software4Students, it does say not to be sold outside Europe.

    I am running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit

    Thanks

    Paul

Service pack 1 was recently released for Office 2010, this includes all cumulative updates.

    Description of Office 2010 SP1

I suggest you download the 64 bit standalone installer (method 2 in above link), burn it to a CD and install. Keep the CD for future re-use.

Check in installed updates, SP1 may already be installed.

You can also check within Office itself.

The long way would be to check the installer log but try some quick things first.

    1) Disable the AV.

    2) Create some more free space on the hard disk.

    3) Clear temp folders, you can use CCleaner.

    4) Run a chkdsk on C: drive.
