Make Small Squares Next To Sentences - Word

    Hi,

Can somebody tell me how to make small squares next to sentences in Microsoft Word?(For example, the ones used in the test exercises, in which you have to tick the square of a right sentence).

I have tried using the table options, but no way could I set the square exactly next to the sentence, it keeps moving away. What is more, the next square below would not stand in exactly the same position as the first, it will move either right or left a little bit.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Assuming that you are using Word 2010, I think you need to use the 'Form' option:
Create forms that users complete or print in Word - Word - Office.com

Insert a combo box or a drop-down list

In a combo box, users can select from a list of choices that you provide or they can type in their own information. In a drop-down list, users can only select from the list of choices.

    1. On the Developer tab, in the Controls group, click the Combo Box Content Control or Drop-Down List Content Control .
    2. Select the content control, and then on the Developer tab, in the Controls group, click Properties.

    1. To create a list of choices, click Add under Combo Box Properties or Drop-Down List Properties.
    2. Type a choice in the Display Name box, such as Yes, No, or Maybe.

Repeat this step until all of the choices are in the drop-down list.

    1. Fill in any other properties that you want.

Note If you select the Contents cannot be edited check box, users won’t be able to click a choice.

Or you could use wingdings. The letter "o" is represented by an empty box.

Thanks for the help both of you. The thing I would like to do is to make just a little box(I called it a square), similar to the check box by its look(not by functions). I saw Wingdings font in 'insert special characters' tool and it did great!

    I appreciate your help!

Look through Windows' Character Map and the Symbols in MS Office. In addition to Wingdings, don't forget Webdings --- in addition to all the multitudes of other fonts that go on for days. . .

    Here are some that I use: o c x þ
