This Feature Requires Internet Explorer 4.01 or Greater‏

    Hi

I am using Outlook from Office 2007, I am using Win 7 x 64 (fully updated) and have both 32 and 64 Browsers installed.

"When I try to open Outlook I get a message "
This Feature Requires Internet Explorer 4.01 or Greater to use this feature"

I have searched the web for an answer to this problem but none are relevant or working for me.

One thing I note is that the registry fixes use an IE Version number but when I check my the version numbers in IE9 32 ( Help/About) I get
    Version: (blank)
    Update Version: 0
I think this may be the cause of the problem.

I have tried running in safe mode but this did not work.

Outlook 2007 has been working fine until two days ago, it was a new install of Office 2007 when I installed W7 Pro about 9 months ago, prior to that it was also working in Vista Ultimate.

have done an Office 2007 repair to no avail.

    How can I fix issue?

    Thanks

    Daniel

Perhaps an IE repair or registry fix is in order? I seems that since it isn't properly identifying Internet Explorer, that IE is the root of your problem

    Hi

I agree but how do you do an IE9 repair, I have tried reset but that has not helped.

    Thanks

Yes I did and got into all sorts of problems, after IE9 was uninstalled and IE8 supposedly reinstalled no browser worked, neither did WLM. I had to install FF so I could access the Internet and my Hotmail account.

I tried updating the an Update install of IE9, nothing worked so I did system restore, now I am right back where I started.....

    Cheers

Program "repairs" can be performed through the control panel, you may need admin permission but you goto control panel-uninstall program, then right click the program and hit repair, though perhaps you have something set up wrong with your proxy/network or the advanced settings

"The Program" specifically IE9 is not listed in the Programs and Features list, which is where I assume you are referring to. If not please advise.

    IE9 Registry entries

    Hi

    I have W7 Pro x64

Can anyone tell me where the registry entries for IE9 32 are

needs me to modify the registry entry at
    1. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer
However that is the entry for ie9 64, I believe and I need the entry for the default browser which is 32 bit.

    thanks

,y data under the version vector for that is IE: 9.0000 VML:1.0 and windows edition: 3 Not sure if that will help, but also mayb u can try an update to ie9 if available, but also mayb it isn't set as your default browser? if it is the mayb you could try making chrome/firefox your default?
