Outlook 2010 - Advanced Find - No Status Bar = No Item Count

Hello,


I recently upgraded to Outlook 2010 and I am a "massive" user of the advanced find feature. I need to be able to see the item count result of my searches - just like it was on Outlook 2003. Unfortunately, I see that the advanced find window on 2010 doesn't have a status bar and therefore, I can't see the item count result.

Does anyone have a solution for this?



BTW:


1 -> the solution offered in the links I gave is not good for me).


2 -> I know it is possible to create a new search folder that would show item count, BUT, I have *tons* and *tons* of different criterias for search that I use all the time - I can't create a predifined search folder for each type of search that I need because:


a) I really have too many different criterias


b) some criterias appear as work comes, i.e., they are not something I can predict before and I need the results fast (no time to be creating a new search folder for this)


Isn't there a tweak to simply restore the good old status bar that was oh so simple in showing the results item count?

I had a similar problem, but within a Windows 7 search (files and folders) not within Outlook specifically, and it took me ages to stumble across something that might help other people trying to do this same operation. (It seems there are no real results when this question is googled...)

In my folder of search results, I chose the option to "select all" then right clicked with all selected and chose "properties" - the "General Information" tab lists how many files and folders are part of the search result. It's clumsy, but it did the trick for me in a pinch. Hope it helps someone else too.
