    AVG Anti Spam

I use Office 2010 with Outlook. I also have AVG AntiSpam installed which used to show two anti spam boxes on the tool bar. "Mark as Spam" and "Retain". For some inexplicable reason these two boxes have disapeared and no matter what, cannot be reinstalled. I have been asked by the M'Soft Outlook 2010 start up programme from time to time if I wished to remove these 'add on's' and told they were conflicting with the Outlook programme. I have always said no and everything has worked fine, up tilll now! Has anyone had any smilar problems with AVG 2011 Internet Security Anti Virus programme please? Any advice will be gratefully received.

I contacted AVG, they took control of my computer and found a Trojan Vundo Variant/F and have removed it (so they say!) I have carried out a full MallwareBytes scan and there is now no sign of it on my computer. Needless to say I am still rather worried as to whether my machine is clean. If anyone can tell me of another good free anti malware prgroamme I could use for a double check I would be very appreciative.

    Regards,

    * Download SuperAntiSpyware Free Edition, update it immediately, run a FULL scan.
SUPERAntiSpyware.com | Remove Malware | Remove Spyware - AntiMalware, AntiSpyware, AntiAdware!

    * Did you do a FULL scan with Malwarebytes?

    * Can you please advise where you obtained "AVG AntiSpam."

    * AVG took control of your computer? Tell me more about this.....AVG where? Link please.

I run AVG Anti Virus Pro 2011{paid} plus Outlook 2010.
I have no "AVG AntiSpam" installed & had not heard of it until now.

AVG AntiSpam is part of their AVG 11 AntiVirus programme which I obtained and paid for via the AVG web site www.avg.com It was a company called Virgindigitalhelp e-mail help@virgindigitalhelp.co.uk If you look at your AVG Overlook panel, you should see it in there. I have done two full MallwareBytes scanns on all my drives and found no infection, I have also done a full scan with StopZilla and as yjet at 30% of the scan completed, no infection.

    FYI.
AVG Anti Virus Pro 2011 {paid} User Interface Safety Components includes E -Mail Scanner which is active. This scans all incoming / outgoing emails.

    Here there is NO
AVG AntiSpam that includes two anti spam boxes on the tool bar. "Marked as Spam" and "Retain".
Did you run a full scan of SuperAntiSpyware?

All is well, no infection, completely clean. I am now using Spam Fighter. Someone added a link to a Registry Cleaner Towcows Uniblue?? It said I had 278 serious errors and if I registered and paid up they would all be gone. "A fool and his money are soon parted. I would suggest someone is hacking into this forum and adding links to advertisements in replies????

If you're checking the COM add-ins, and you're checking the AVG Addin for MS Outlook box, but Outlook keeps unchecking the box, try this...it worked for me. Open Outlook - go to File>Options>Addins, and at the bottom where you see Manage: COM Add-ins - use the dropdown to choose "Disabled Add-ins". Click "Go", and it will bring up a box with a list of Add-ins that have been disabled because "they prevented Outlook from functioning properly". Click on the AVG Addin for MS Outlook, then click Enable. The AVG Anti-Spam Toolbar should immediately appear back in your Outlook 2010, or should be there upon restart.
