Want to set up different Outlook accounts, MUST be totally separate

Hi all, this is just my 2nd post, but the first was a good experience and this appears to be a great forum.

My question, I'm sure for many of you, will seem rather ignorant. I'm really PC-savvy, I even build my own systems, and have used MS Office from when it first came out, and I've used Win7 Pro 64 for over a year.

I have used Outlook for a very long time, since the 2003 version was first available. But, I have always only used it for one email account. Right now, it only brings in email from my Gmail account.

I would like to add 3 or 4 other accounts . . . but I want Outlook to treat them totally separate. I don't want mail from all accounts dumped into one Inbox, and I want a completely different .PST file for each account.

Having said all that, I know there must be a way to do it. But the big problem is, like most MS products, they have a knack for providing instructions that just don't quite clarify things the way they should be.

All helpful comments/advice welcome and appreciated !

    Thanks in advance,
    Dave G.

    JMH, System SpecsMS Outlook 2010

DaveInVA, Control Panel / Mail / E-mail Accounts... / E-mail tab / New / E-mail Account / Manually configure server settings or additional server types / E-mail. And in Add New Account window in the right side you need to choose NEW OUTLOOK DATA FILE. Repeat for each account.

At the end you will have three e-mails in the E-mail tab and three pst files in Data Files tab.
