OneNote 2010 Tablet Pen Cursor issue
Hardware: HP Elitebook w i5 processor Convertible Tablet
If you take hand written notes in OneNote 2010 and have the computer at an angle of ~10-15 degrees from float, the pen cursur goes from a pt to the keyboard cursor. To check this out, start with the "draw" tab visible. Be in pen mode and the tablet flat on a desk. start writing and then start lifting back of tablet up. at some point you will see the highlited pen icon jump to the "Select & Type" icon become highlited. Another way to see the issue is to just hold the tablet flat in your hands with the any pen icon highlited. lift the back up to 45 deg angle and then lower it again. you will see the "pen" icon unhighlite and the "Select & Type" highlite. very annoying problem but at least understanding it allows me to work around it. took a very long time to figure this out however.
I built a stand which holds the tablet ~35 degree angle and no issue at all. Same if you write on the tablet while it is flat on a table. Problem occurs in between those two pts.
HP states this is a software problem. Not sure about that but seems to make sense.
