Microsoft Power point not recognized by Win7

    I reloaded Power Point and now the file extension .pps is included in the file associations list with Power point as the default. Go Figure, I don't know why this occurs but it now works. Thanks

    Do you ever use any registry scanners/cleaners?
    They are usually behind missing associations.

    I thought it was working but I guess not. I just got an email with a .pps attachment and when I try to open it, I get the same message I got before. In my file association list, the .pps files are associated with Power Point and Power point is loaded in the system. I got the saem problem when I tried to open a ,doc attachment and in the file associateion list, the ,doc files are associated with Open office which is installed and used freruqently. Ant ideas?
