Windows 7 - outlook 2010 won't open and no error message appears

Hi,

I'm unable to open outlook 2010 on a windows 7 64bit system. i don't get any error messages, and i'm able to open other office programs like excel and word. i open task manager and i look under process and i don't see outlook. so i try and open to see if outlook ever appears on the process and it shows for a second and disappears. i try to run a repair on the outlook but repair won't open as well. i'm a bit lost on this and not sure which direction to take. any advice would be very helpful.

This is possibly due to a faulty installation. This can usually be fixed by a re-installation.

it was working fine for couple of month. i was also hoping not having to uninstall and reintsall...

i tried but when i go to try and run repair, office box appears then disappears.

Weird thn your office is bricked so just reinstall it it's not a big deal

Just a few random thoughts...

* Have you applied the appropriate updates to Outlook?

* If you right click the Outlook Icon > Run as Administrator...
Does Outlook now open / work as expected?

* If the problem doesn't appear when you're running in Safe Mode could it be a misbehaving add-in that's causing grief?

Safe Mode

Navigate to Add-ins and see if there's anything there you can disable.
{ If you have an iTunes add-in disable it. It's really only useful if you're synchronizing Outlook to your iPhone or iPod.}

When typing, please note the space between outlook.exe and /resetnavpane.

i tried opening as admin that did not work. it doesn't open in safe mode. i'm unable to open it at all. I just uninstalled office and reinstalled and that seems to have solved the problem.
