    Word 07 TOC error: number cannot be represented in specified format


    Hi

    I've done dozens of ToC's in Word without problem, but one file is giving me trouble.

    Using the field {TOC \o "1-4" \h \z \u}, in Page View instead of page numbers I get:

    Error! Number cannot be represented in specified format.

    I have another field-based ToC in the document with the same error.

    I've tried different style sets, I've changed the page size to force repagination. Nothing has worked.

    I solved the initial problem by running through the page number options again. Now I'm getting the table and the page numbers, but I can't get them to right-align or to show leaders.

    Ok, problem solved. I had to jog the TOC style settings ("Classic"). Now it seems perfect. This was converted from an original .doc file, so maybe there was some hangover.

i have a word document with many numbers in it, i would like to know is there a way to get the amount of numbers separately, similar to the word count option.
If I insert page number 2 in a letter in Word 2007 it automatically puts this in a header and gives the first page number 1.
