save office files to public folder

Is there a simple way of saving Office 2010/2007 files to a public folder without having to go through the C:Users/public/myplaypen every time. There is an icon in Favorite links for my documents. Can I add a link to my public folders?

Hello David, welcome to the Seven Forums.

This is in fact quite easy with Windows 7 using Libraries. Open Documents library and do as told in this screenshot:

save office files to public folder-default_save_location.png

By default, Office saves to default save location chosen on Documents Library properties, so now all saved documents will be saved in Public Documents.
