My OS is Windows 7 Ultimate x64. About two weeks ago I installed a stand alone version of MS Word to WinXP Mode. I could not activate it online even though I was definitely connected to the internet as was my host pc. I double checked to verify that I was online.
I called MS and was connected to a service rep. I gave him the product key, he verified it and activated Word. I thought all was well, that is until I needed to use Word this morning. I opened WinXP Mode and Word wasn't there. I checked All Programs, the list of software in Add/Remove and it is not listed.
I intended to call MS again this Friday morning but was just too busy to reach them before closing time. I will try again Monday but thought maybe someone in the forum has an idea as to what went wrong.
I don't remember the amount of time that is allotted to activate an MS product but I am almost certain that its more than two weeks.
