Office 2010 Pro Plus will not install on Win 7 Pro x64

Hello all,
I have been trying for the last couple of days to re-install an HUP Office 2010 Pro Plus on a new install of Win 7 x64.
I switched from XP where Office worked fine.

When I first tried it I received the error code 1920 (osppsvc).
So, after searching numerous MS help and support sites, and trying various so called fixes,

I'm now getting; Error: 1402 Set Up Can Not Open Registry Key
UNKNOWN\Components\88B79139D4D5BA9498A091EECE8E3D8B\00004109A20000000100

Let me know what you think and how I can fix this situation.

Thank You!

Hello and welcome, eZAK

Probably the previous installation left some leftovers in your system. You may Download Office 2010 Removal Tool and let it a try.

Are you trying to install the 32-bit version of Office Pro Plus or the 64-bit version?

If it is the latter, the following applications will block the Office install:

Microsoft Excel Viewer

Access database engine of Microsoft Access 2010

Microsoft Office 2010 (Click to run)

Microsoft Office 2007 Compatibility Pack

I don't know exactly what version it is trying to install.
It auto runs when disk is installed.

I don't think that there could be any left over apps do to the clean install of Win 7
