Windows 7 - Office 2007 without Aero ??

I made myself a couple of High Definition skins. That turns the aero off. Now I have trouble with e.g. Power Point and Word. They just do not function with this setup. Can that be because of the aero.

Did anybody ever run Office 2007 in XP where there would be no aero either.

I just now tried the Windows 7 hi-def and classic themes - Word/PowerPoint 2007 had no probelms.

No, just the standard Windows 7 facilities in Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Personalization

But this is not the classic theme. But I guess your experiment shows that the aero is not at fault. It is really dumb that standard windows programs do not work with standardf windows settings.

I tried both: hi-def theme (man are those ugly!) and the classic theme...agreed that aero MAY not be at fault (not ruling it out just yet).

The hi-def themes are only ugly if you do not customize them. But there is a great number of settings that you can change. See picture in my first post. I also have one in Burgundy.
