Outlook 2010 search not checking Hotmail's Deleted Items?

Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium x64 SP1
    Office: Office 2010 x86 SP1
Outlook Hotmail Connector: x86 Version 14.0.5139.5001

I believe I have the latest Hotmail Connector installed.

Despite "include messages from the deleted items folder in each data file when searching all items" being ticked in Outlook's Search Options (File --> Options --> Search), it does not include the Deleted Items folder when clicking "Try searching again in All Mail Items".

I know the e-mail is in Deleted Items. Deleted Items (i.e -Bin) is included when searching All Mail Items using my Gmail IMAP account, so I know this setting generally works.

Any idea why it's not working when searching from my Hotmail account? Thanks

If I click on the root folder above Inbox, search and include "subfolders" deleted items is included.

p.s - In case anyone asks why I would do this, some times I delete e-mails I wish to retrieve and currently I need to search "All Mail items" and then "Deleted Items" separately.

For me when my additional emails get dorked up, for what ever reason. I simply remove that email account, close out my email client, open my email client backup and then re-add it. Then all works as it should.

Thanks. That fixed it. I was hoping for an easier solution but I then remembered re-adding Hotmail to Outlook is simply a case of adding credentials.

I ended up uninstalling the Hotmail Connector, deleting the local Hotmail OST file (so Outlook was forced to re-download mail), re-installing the Hotmail Connector and re-adding the account.

One of that lot fixed it (I suspect deleting OST file, forcing Windows Search to re-index). I forgot Outlook's Colour Categories are only stored in Outlook and not on Hotmail's servers. So I had to set them up again but they were a mess anyway. It needed doing again.

    Thanks again.

Any idea why the Hotmail Connector isn't built into Outlook like it is Windows Live Mail? It seems odd you need an add-on. I've always wondered this.
