Outlook 2010 won't send - straight to outlook When I'm at work outlook 2010 will send e-mails without any problems.
When I go home after work and try to send an e-mail, they go straight to the outbox folder. They won't send until I'm back at work the following day. I don't understand.
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks | My System Specs |

Insufficient information -
Is this a laptop that you use at the office and then also use at home?

When you're at home and have an email you want sent in the Outbox, click on the "Send/Receive all Folders".
See if that sends it out. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number home built OS Win 7 Pro x64 SP1, Win 7 Ult x86 SP1 CPU AMD Athlon II x4 620 Motherboard Gigabyte GA-MA785G-UD3H Memory 6GB GSkill DDR2 800 Graphics Card AMD 4670 GPU + AMD 4200 IGP Sound Card on board Realtek ALC889A Monitor(s) Displays RCA 40" LCD TV, Insignia 32" LCD TV, HP 15" LCD monitor Screen Resolution 1680 x 1050... When you're at home, are you still connected to your domain at work?
I'm just wondering whether setting up a different profile for home use is a possible solution. Could be a firewall issue - you may need to VPN in to use the existing profile OR follow seavixen32's advise and establish a new profile to use outside of the office.

At work we just connect to the Wireless and it's a simple workgroup. We don't use VPN. it's actually for a school principal. Not sure how she connects at home. She mentioned that her Ipad will send and receive at both home and school. But I was thinking it has to do will smtp settings.
Someone mentioned to change the smtp settings to smtpa and change the port to 587... I haven't got to do this yet, but will in the next few hours and will update the post to see if that'll work.
Any other suggestions? Thanks for the help | My System Specs

You're welcome.
I don't have any other ideas off the cuff - best to wait until you've reconfigured your Outlook account settings. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HP Pavilion Elite 495UK OS Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-Bit CPU Intel Core i7 870 @ 2.93GHz Motherboard MSI 2A9C (CPU1) Memory 8Gb Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 664MHz Graphics Card nVidia GeForce GTX 460 1024MB dedicated RAM Sound Card Realtek HD Audio Monitor(s) Displays HP2310i Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 Keyboard Logitech K750 solar-powered keyboard Mouse Logitech Wireless M180 mouse PSU 460W Case HP Elite Cooling Air cooled Hard Drives 1x1954GB Hitachi HDS22020ALA 330 (RAID), 1x1954GB Hitachi External for backup and storage Internet Speed 2Mb Other Info Pure Avanti Flow Internet Radio with iPod Dock, 64Gb iPod, HP USB Speakers, Sony MDR-V500 Headphones, Sony Vaio F-Series Laptop |

I was having a similar issue. At home, using wireless, any emails I sent would sit in my outbox regardless of anything I did. I would then take my laptop into my office, plug into the LAN and and any emails in my outbox would be sent.
This evening while at home again, I went into manage my account >more settings >advanced and changed the Outgoing SMTP from 25 to 587. That now allows me to send emails from my home wireless. | My System Specs | | Outlook 2010 won't send - straight to outlook problems? All times are GMT -5. The time now is 04:40 PM.
