Word 2007: problem apparently caused by font and/or memory?
I have Windows 7 and Office 2007. Everything has been running fantastically until a couple of hours ago. This morning I was working on an important document, then had to go out. When I got home, I took the computer out of standby, only to see a message that "there is insufficient memory or disk space. Word cannot display the requested font.'
I had changed absolutely nothing. My document appears normal if I look at it in draft view, but in full print layout it is different (the requested font is nothing special, only Times New Roman). I don't want to work on it until I get things running smoothly again for fear of losing it all together.
I found the following on internet
Insufficient memory or disk space, cannot display the requested - Microsoft Answers
but even following closely the instructions cannot locate any.dot files, only a couple of .dotm files which I am reluctant to touch. I have no new add-ons and have changed none of my printer settings etc
I really hope someone can explain what can have happened here, and how to fix it. This is extremely important.
