Outlook In Box Contents Disappear

This morning, the contents of my M/S 2010 Outlook Inbox went away. They are not in my recycle bin. I did a restart but my Inbox e-mail is still MIA. All other folders are intact. I sent myself four tests from my iPhone, received them, but after about a minute, they disappeared, too.

Our company uses a Microsoft exchange server.

Any ideas?

Your Outlook may be set to archive old e-mails etc. after a set amount of time. You can click the File tab, go to Options>Advanced and find auto Archive, and check it out. If that's not it I don't know the answer. :)

Thank you. I went there first to check on archiving and that feature is turned off.

I found out today that our coporate IT people purged old e-mail from the server with permission from all of those involved with the company. The accidentally changed something. They straightened it out in less than five minutes.

Problem solved.
