The column that heads : Arrange By Date| Newest on top |is missing. I have the Search CTL+E on the right hand side of the home page. The search does not work. I have turned Search On in Control Panel etc. I have tried repair Office. No change.

    Thanks Koolkat,

I will look in the morning. I'll let you know the result. It was when I went to open an email and the "Outlook not responding" msg appeared. Then I closed and opened Outlook. That was the result. Missing column.

I tried but no avail. I note that the article refers to 2007, but I don't think that is a problem at this time. I am ( or have convinced myself) that it will need an uninstall and a reinstall of Outlook to fix the problem. Normally one can repair a damaged item, but to repair just the look of part of the home page may not be possible.

I can and do use Outlook, so it is a "niggle" rather than a problem.

At this point in time I will leave it and when I get the desire, I will reinstall outlook.

Thank you for your time and help. Have a nice day:)

Sorry haven't been of much help but reinstalling sounds like a good idea. Make sure you keep a backup of your stuff before uninstalling.

Btw, you could use revo uninstaller to clean-uninstall it Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware - Free and Full Download - Uninstall software, remove programs, solve uninstall problems
