Bing searches word, tho not added to FF as search engin
I am having this problem of Bing popping up to do a search even tho its not part of the search engines within Firefox (using 22.214.171.124). I tried the "about:config" in Firefox, but searching for "Bing" results empty, I have gone into options and looked inside and not in there, also looked in search bar and not even listed as optional search engine, yet when I type a word in the url, or even click on a bookmark toolbar url, say for facebook, Bing opens a page with a search for that word/url.
Not sure why this is happening, IE8 is on the PC but Firefox is the default. I also took Windows Live from the search box, but still ending up with the same thing. This is something that doesnt happen all the time, but intermittent.
My wife said that once while she was in Facebook, she clicked on a link and it took her to a Bing search, which resulted in a "Could not find server for ..."
I can try posting a screen cap but have to do it from her PC, when it happens again.
Forgot to add, PC is running Windows 7 32bit RC7100
