Windows 7: Word Style Font Expands

I created a style which centers, bolds, underlines and uppercases text on a page. With a save or other function, the font will expand. The properties on the font do not reflect this expansion. When I print the document, the font prints correctly and the font on the screen corrects itself. This is happening to Virtual PCs which are using the normal.dot, officeUI, and Global Template I created but not on two desktops and a laptop on which I've installed these as well. I've deleted and recreated the style but this continues to happen. I have other styles that I use and do not experience this behavior. We used and continue to use this style in Word 2003 and have never had this happen. I can't think of anything else to do. Any suggestions, thoughts or comments will be appreciated. Thanks.
