MS Word 2010 shows "Hidden" fonts in its menus

Windows 7 categorises some Fonts as "Hidden" (based on the language setting).

In the attachment there are "hidden" fonts showing up in MS Word 2010. Is there a setting somewhere I have missed? Or does it just not work?

As a workaround, can I just copy the fonts I do not currently want into another folder, then Delete them from the Fonts folder? Or will that cause problems?

Anyone? Is this a Windows 7 bug?

I just ran Unlocker on the hidden fonts to delete them. After a restart, they're gone.

One undesirable consequence of deleting them, is that you'll get blank unicode boxes for most non-Latin alphabets. For this, there's Code2000: all the unicode alphabets in one font instead of many.

$RECYCLE.BIN folder shows on drives although "Don't Show Hidden" set
Under Folder Options, I have the "Don't show hidden files, folders, or drives" checked. Yet, there is a folder called $RECYCLE.BIN on every drive showing when I'm viewing my folders. I don't recall it showing before I had to do a malware and virus sweep. Does this mean it is not a hidden...

Printer status on Word 2010 states "Where: File"
I installed my Dell photo AIO printer 942 in Windows 7 using the instructions on the web. The installation partially fails. The scanner function and copy functions work fine, but it won't print. It states that the printer is not communicating with the computer. When I go and try a page from Word...

Word 2010 "Not Responding" immediately after opening
I'm not sure what happened, but a month ago my Word started freezing and displaying a "Not Responding" pop-up pretty quickly after I opened it. This is the first time something like this has happened to me in the three years I have owned my laptop. I don't know what to do, I need to use Word...

Word 2010 "Restrict Formatting" Glitch?
In Word 2010, when I restrict formatting and allow editing only in certain areas of a document, it appears that while a user is in an allowed area they also have access to “change paragraph spacing” under "change styles.” While there, they can go to "custom paragraph spacing" and reformat the...

Portable hard drive shows hidden files (prefixed with ".")
My portable hard drive is showing all the hidden files and folders on it (the ones prefixed with ".", but not the System Information folder, interestingly). I don't have this trouble with any other drives, or elsewhere on my computer, so it seems somehow to be associated with this specific drive. ...

Customize Word 2010 "Open"
Is there a way to customize what appears when I click "Open" (or "File" - "Open") in Word 2010? I used to like the My Places Bar in the previous version I used because I need to open only a few folders in one directory--I don't need all the other stuff that appears on "Open." Thanks.
