| | Cannot launch Word from email Hi all, I'm getting the error "There was a problem sending the command to the program" when opening a .doc attachment in email or from an internet sight. I can save the attachment and then open in Word. However when I download the attachment and then open in email or Internet Explorer/Chrome, Word launches and I get the error message. Word opens but with a grey screen. I've just spent four hours looking at solutions and tried everything including regedits, compatibility changes and default programs. Nothing works. I have uninstalled Office 2010 and Office XP and reinstalled Office XP only. I am using the 2002 version. This is a new problem and did not occur before today. Any ideas please? Thanks a lot. Les |
