Word 2010 - Numbered paragraph indents reverts when restarted
I am running Word 2010 on 64 bit Windows 7 Pro. and I use a style template to control the formatting of procedures that require a hierarchy.
1). I modify the indent and hanging properties of a numbered list style (List a) so that it aligns correctly to the previous parent style (List 1).
2). In the Styles panel I select Update ... to match selection and then save the file.
If I select 'Reset to a)' then the modified indent reverts such that it aligns with the number of the parent (List 1), including reinsert a tab stop.
I have based the style of List a on List 1 and also based on 'none' but with no success.
