Do you let it finish acquiring the needed files? You could do a simple repair of office from the control panel add and remove list.

i still cannot open my Microsoft word

my Microsoft word is still not functioning well. How long it usually takes for Microsoft Office to download the required features? There is no notifications on how many percent has it downloaded and whenever i want to do my work, the Microsoft Word becomes not responding.

Have you tried completely uninstalling the Office program and reinstalling the entire program?

However, this time don't open any other applications related to Office or do anything else on your computer in general, just let the installation wizard do it's job of importing the key program files.

There seems to be a resolution suggested in the following thread:
Microsoft Office is downloading the required feature? And will not - Microsoft Community
    .
    .
    SOLUTION:

Let it download the "required feature" but only after you have restarted your computer. It takes about 5-7 minutes for it to process once you click on the application (Microsoft Word Starter 2010) and about 10-15 minutes for it to download the "required feature."

Again, the solution is as follows:

    1. Restart (or completely shut down and then turn back on) your computer.
    2. Click Microsoft Word Starter 2010 and let it complete its processing.
    3. Let it finish downloading the "required feature."
    4. Hopefully, this works for all of you.
