A relatively simple problem, but my Outlook stopped working this morning after an Avast! A/V update. I am using Gmail for my POP. This is a home PC using a Verizon broadband card for Internet connection. I have checked all settings, deleted the Outlook profile and created a new one, and have done all this with the A/V software disabled. I continue to get a message: "Unable to connect to the Internet." There is no problem with my connection as I am obviously here trying to find some help, and I am able to send and receive email thru Gmail. Any suggestions for someone about to go crazy?
